Glass (8"x10")

The subject is a tree with shining, reflective leaves, whose roots reach deep into a glassy lake. When left to grow in a desolate, forgotten place, it reflects the world’s splendor. Solitude is where this tree thrives and it’s likely that there’s only ever been one of its kind.

To continue trying to branch out when it comes to drawing plants (pun intended), I’m experimenting with replacing the branches of trees with other more interesting shapes and/or other plants. This one in particular is inspired by the Stephania erecta and its circular leaves.
